Myers is pointless in three games with the Marlies this season

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced they have recalled defenseman Philippe Myers from his AHL conditioning loan.

Myers was sent to the Toronto Marlies on Nov. 16 in order to get him into some games.

The 27-year-old has zero points in three AHL games this season. He is a +2 and has recorded five shots on goal.

The Moncton, NB., native played 12:11 in his one game for the Maple Leafs this season.

Myers signed a one-year contract with $775,000 with Toronto this summer after spending the majority of last season with the Syracuse Crunch.

With Oliver Ekman-Larsson missing Friday's practice due to an illness we could see Myers get into Toronto's game against the Utah HC on Sunday. He joins Conor Timmins and Jani Hakanpaa as options on the Leafs third pair.

The Marlies play the San Jose Barracuda at home on Saturday and Sunday.
