    26-year-old spent the majority of last season in the NHL with Chicago and Ottawa

    The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced they has signed forward Boris Katchouk to a one-year AHL contract for the 2024-25 season. He was on a PTO with the Anaheim Ducks in training camp.

    Katchouk split last season between the Chicago Blackhawks, Ottawa Senators and Rockford IceHogs, recording 13 points in 59 NHL games and five points in six AHL games. 

    In parts of five AHL seasons with the Syracuse Crunch and Rockford IceHogs Katchouk has registered 39 goals and 95 points in 173 games. 

    Katchouk was originally selected in the second round of the 2016 draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning.

    The 26-year-old now counts as a veteran against the AHL's development rule as he has played more than 260 professional games.
