Leafs Injuries The Toronto Maple Leafs announced they sent forward Alex Steeves to the Toronto Marlies and placed Bobby McMann on injured reserve. In a corresponding move the Leafs activated Matthew Knies and Auston Matthews from injured reserve. Steeves went pointless in four games for the Maple Leafs during his call up and averaged 11:01 of ice time per game. The 24-year-old will return to the Marlies where he has nine goals and 12 points in 10 games, leading the team in both categories.
