Monday kicks off the week with a solid six game slate of NHL action that should excite all hockey fans. We have found some really solid bets that should hopefully keep the ball rolling after earning some big wins on Sunday like the Hurricanes and Rangers covering the puck line.
All betting lines are from Bet365 and are subject to change. Hockey is a difficult sport to predict so please gamble responsibly.
Bet: Nathan MacKinnon anytime goal (+115), Avalanche Over 3.5 goals (-120)
The gap between the league leaders in points is fairly slim with Nathan MacKinnon still a top the league despite the Avalanche's 9-9-0 record this season. The reigning-Hart trophy winner is averaging almost two points per game with seven goals and 26 assists for 33 points in 18 Games.
Colorado had the weekend to rest and prepare for their road game versus the Flyers, who have won three straight games. MacKinnon should play a pivotal role as he's recorded four goals and eight assists for 12 points in his last nine career games against the Flyers. He hasn't scored in three games and should get one against netminder with a 3.93 goals against average in Aleksei Kolosov.
Bet: Ducks +2.5 (-140)
This is an easy fade of the public as 97 per cent of the bets on the puck line being for the Stars to roll over the Ducks. It should be an easy spot for Anaheim to surpise people as many may not know they are 10-6 against the spread this season and haven't lost by two or more goals against the Stars in four of their last five matchups.
Anaheim should also start their strongest netminder in Lukas Dostal, who has a 2.75 goals against average in 12 starts this season. The Ducks should keep this one very close and possibly win outright as they have won just two of their last seven games and have beat the Stars once in their last 11 matchups.
Bet: Utah HC ML (-110), Capitals Utah HC Under 6.5 goals (-120)
I hope we learned this from yesterday but in case you missed it, winning both games of a back-to-back on the road is very challenging as we saw the Blues lose to the Hurricanes on Sunday.
The Capitals will look to overcome the same challenge against Utah on Monday but will make things difficult as they've won 12 of their first 17 games.
Utah Hockey Club has been a decent home team this season with a 4-3-1 record that should hold up versus a Capitals team that has won both games of a road back-to-back just twice dating back to last season. This is the first ever meeting between these two and should make for an exciting matchup.
The Utah backend should play a role in this one as they are top 12 in home goals against average at 2.88 this season and will likely start Connor Ingram in net, who earned a 26-save shutout in his only career apperance against Washington.
