The NHL Awards were handed out in late June with not too many surprising winners like Quinn Hughes winning the James Norris Trophy for Best Defenceman or Connor Bedard winning the Calder Memorial Trophy as the league's best rookie.
Most of the awards had little competition towards the end of the season and made it challenging to find good value. We look to jump on the opportunity and showcase some great values listed for awards odds next season.

Auston Matthews to win Rocket Richard Trophy (-110)
The Arizona native has scored 40 or more goals in five straight seasons and continues to be the most dominant scoring threat in the sport. Matthews played most of his season on a line with Matthew Knies and Mitch Marner with 404.3 minutes together, according to Money Puck.
This should continue to work to his benefit next season as Knies will continue to grow as a player as he will be 22-years-old when the season kicks off. Marner should play a key role in Matthews' success as he enters a contract year and will want to show the Leafs organization and the league his value.

Knies should improve to a likely 50-60 point player next season with Marner likely landing around the 100-point mark for the first time in his career with the added motivation. Other players are listed at better values but Matthews is by far the safest option and you likely won't get him at better odds again.
Matvei Michkov to win Calder Memorial Trophy (+400)
People love Macklin Celebrini but the 18-year-old, North Vancouver native should return back to Boston University next season after showing he needs more time with some clips from development camp showing his lack of size and being knocked off the puck too easily.

The current favourite looks to be Philadelphia's Matvei Michkov, who looks to be a very solid option. The Russian product has dominated every level he's played at including a 41-point campaign in 47 games for HK Sochi of the KHL. He will get plenty of opportunities to break out with current projections having him in the top six of the Flyers lineup and taking over Cam Atkinson, who left in free agency.
