Simulating Boston vs. Toronto game three in NHL 24

Can the Maple Leafs create some momentum after taking game two in Boston? Or are the big bad Bruins angry and hungry to bounce back and take a 2-1 series lead?

We simulated game three between Boston and Toronto. And the outcome did not favour the home team.

We made the appropriate lineup changes for both teams based on line rushes from each team's morning skate. Swayman appears to be getting the nod back in net for the B's. And James Van Riemsdyk (former Maple Leaf), Mason Lohrei, and Parker Wotherspoon look to be drawing in the lineup in replace of Jakub Lauko, Matt Grzelcyk, and the injured Andrew Peeke.

    Boston's anticipated lines for tonight:

    Heinen - Zacha - Pastrnak
    Marchand - Coyle - DeBrusk
    JVR - Geekie - Frederic
    Beecher - Boqvist - Maroon

    Lohrei - McAvoy
    Lindholm - Carlo
    Wotherspoon - Shattenkirk

    Swayman
    Ullmark

There is still unclarity on William Nylander's status for the Maple Leafs. However, he did take line rushes with Holmberg and Jarnkrok which is a good sign that he will be making his first appearance of this series. He did stay out late for extra work with the projected healthy scratches so we will see if he's out there for warmups come 6:30pm

    Toronto's anticipated lines for tonight:

    Bertuzzi - Matthews - Domi
    Knies - Tavares - Marner
    Jarnkrok - Holmberg - Nylander
    Dewar - Kampf - Reaves

    Rielly - Lyubushkin
    Benoit - McCabe
    Edmundson - Liljegren

    Samsonov
    Woll

Our simulation had Jake DeBrusk, who seems to love playing against the Leafs in the playoffs, score the opening goal of the game. And burying the empty netter to seal Boston's 3-1 victory.

It was a very low event game with the shots 24-19 in favour of the Bruins. Max Domi scored the only goal for Toronto and Mason Lohrei had the other goal for Boston.
