NHL 24 has released a new roster update, adding players to the game, and overall adjustments due to performance

EA SPORTS released a roster update in NHL 24 featuring overall increases and decreases to numerous players. The NCAA players who have signed recently with their club teams have also been added to the game.

Auston Matthews and Quinn Hughes both received a +1 to their overalls, getting them to 95. Matthews finished his season one goal shy of 70, but still put forth a season for the ages becoming the first player to score 69 goals in a season since Mario Lemieux did it in 1995-96.

Quinn Hughes broke his own record for most points by a defenseman in Canucks history. He currently has 91 points on the season with Vancouver's last game of the season tonight against Winnipeg. Hughes is seen as the front-runner to take home the Norris Trophy.

Another player who got a boost to their overall in NHL 24, which was well deserved, is Juraj Slafkovsky. After a disappointing rookie season and a slow start to the year, the former first-overall pick ended up with a 20-goal campaign and 50 points, playing in all 82 games. His overall went from 82 to 84.

Other star players around the league who saw their overall increase:

    Sidney Crosby - 93 to 94
    Roman Josi - 93 to 94
    Connor Hellebuyck - 92 to 93
    Adam Fox - 92 to 93
    J.T. Miller - 90 to 91
    Sam Reinhart - 90 to 91
    Jake Guentzel - 89 to 90

    Zach Werenski - 87 to 88
    Evan Bouchard - 87 to 88
    MacKenzie Weegar - 87 to 88
    Sergei Bobrovsky - 86 to 87
    Nazem Kadri - 85 to 87
    Connor Bedard - 86 to 87
    Brock Faber - 84 to 86
    Wyatt Johnston - 84 to 85

    Players who received overall decreases:

    Brad Marchand - 91 to 90
    Erik Karlsson - 90 to 88
    Evgeni Malkin - 89 to 88
    Brady Tkachuk - 89 to 88
    Tim Stutzle - 89 to 88
    Alex DeBrincat - 88 to 87
    Kris Letang - 88 to 87
    Martin Necas - 88 to 87
    Tristan Jarry - 87 to 86
    Troy Terry - 87 to 86
    Darnell Nurse - 87 to 86
    Elias Lindholm - 87 to 85
    Trevor Zegras - 85 to 84
    John Gibson - 86 to 84
    Darcy Kuemper - 85 to 83

Arizona Coyotes rookie Josh Doan received the biggest overall increase, jumping up from 69 to 80 after putting together five goals and nine points in his first 11 NHL games.

Players who signed out of the NCAA with NHL teams have been added, as long as they have suited up in an NHL game before the roster update. They also added Flyers goalie Ivan Fedotov.

We created a number of these players before they were added. Turns out we were spot in with our overall predictions of Nazar and Brindley, but missed on Lane Hutson by one overall.
