Continuing with our NHL 24 Playoff simulations, today is a look at Game 3 between the Carolina Hurricanes and New York Islanders.
Our simulations are 1-1 on this series so far.
Some lineup changes for this simulation: Tony DeAngelo is in the Hurricanes lineup for an injured Brett Pesce, while Hudson Fasching enters the Islanders top-six in place of Simon Holmstrom. Ilya Sorokin starts over Semyon Varlamov.

Kyle Palmieri was the lone Islander who found the back of the net, snapping a shot through Frederik Andersen. He was denied on a point blank one-timer minutes later.
Jake Guentzel tied the game for the Hurricanes after both he and Sebastian Aho got behind the Islanders defense. He then scored the game winner under two minutes into overtime on a turnaround snap shot.
Ilya Sorokin played solid in his first game of the series, making several highlight reel saves.
