
With the New York Islanders on the brink of elimination against the Carolina Hurricanes we booted up NHL 24 and simulated Game 4 to see if there would be a Game 5.
Our simulations are 2-1 in predicting the correct winner this series.
This game was very back and forth and resulted in Noah Dobson scoring the game winning goal under two minutes into the third overtime to force a Game 5.
We re-inserted Semyon Varlamov as the Islanders starter and kept Frederik Andersen in the Hurricanes net even though Rod Brind'Amour had not named a starter at the time of writing.

Both Varlamov and Andersen made some fantastic saves, both made game saving stops in the final minute.
Sebastian Aho scored for Carolina and Bo Horvat responded for New York. Mathew Barzal had two assists.
Shift time scaling is not always accurate in NHL games but Ryan Pulock and Adam Pelech both had nearly one hour of ice time this game.
