Dallas pulls out a triple overtime win in NHL 24

Another entry into our NHL 24 playoff simulation series, today is Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals between the Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars. 

Our series simulation predicted a Dallas sweep while our Game 3 simulation incorrectly picked the Oilers to win.

We inserted Ryan McLeod, Philip Broberg and Corey Perry into the Oilers lineup and scratched Vincent Desharnais, Sam Carrick, and Warren Foegele. We inserted Radek Faksa for Craig Smith on the Stars fourth line. 

Dallas was able to win this game off the opening faceoff in triple overtime in the simulation, extending their series lead to 3-1.

Jake Oettinger came up huge in this simulation, making 34 saves. Stuart Skinner did not have great numbers but made several point blank saves on Dallas shooters in overtime. 

Roope Hintz had two points, including the overtime winner. Jason Robertson also had a goal and an assist.

Darnell Nurse had a strong game for Edmonton, recording two assists and 33 minutes of ice time.
