Cross-Play will change the way we play NHL 24, and the way we play in leagues on NHL 24. In the past, there were separate leagues for Xbox and PlayStation, but with NHL 24 having full cross-play, there is now a way for leagues to have one league without separating them based off of what console they're on. LeagueGaming has announced that for the first time ever, they are combining Xbox and PlayStation into one league, the LGHL Super League. Instead of the NHL, AHL, and CHL for each console type, the league will consist of 5 tiers. Players can play in the NHL, AHL, CHL, ECHL, or NCAA leagues, all depending on their skill level and where they get bid on. Bidding begins on October 20th, shortly after the release of NHL 24. The league also announced that they also plan to have an official weekly broadcast, as well as another major announcement coming very soon.
We got the chance to ask the Director of Hockey Operations at LeagueGaming.com, Brodie McDonald about how excited he was for this LGHL Super League. He told us; "We are super excited to announce that with the introduction of full Crossplay the LGHL will be moving to a super league. Last season we had over 5000 players that were competing in a console base league and now finally we can bring everyone together under one league. We have a few more major announcements coming that will help shape up the next season of the LGHl to be our best season yet."

Having 5 tiers for players to play in is a huge improvement, and something fans should be excited for. This will allow for more opportunities for players to get bid on, more opportunities to get called up, and more opportunities to play with players around their skill level.
