NHL 24 predicts the winner between Vancouver vs Nashville

Continuing with our NHL 24 playoff simulation series, we got the Vancouver Canucks back in the playoffs taking on the Nashville Predators.

Vancouver cruised past Nashville in the season series 3-0. The first game was close with the Canucks taking it by a score of 3-2, but the next two games Vancouver took convincingly 5-2. Elias Pettersson scored a hat trick against them in their second matchup while Quinn Hughes recorded six assists in the season series.

These two teams met in the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs, which was an extremely close series with Vancouver winning it in six. Of course, the Canucks went on that season to lose in the Stanley Cup Final to the Boston Bruins.

This simulation had Nashville starting strong going up 2-1 in the series, but Vancouver's offense took over in the next three games and just like in 2011, the Canucks won the series 4-2.

Predators veteran forward Gustav Nyquist was fantastic with nine assists in the series and Tommy Novak led his team in scoring with five goals. Juuse Saros struggled in net posting a .888 save percentage and allowing 20 goals in the six games.

The biggest difference in this series was Vancouver's depth. Brock Boeser had nine points and Elias Lindholm - who has struggled during his tenure with the Canucks - scored five goals. Tyler Myers was the only Vancouver player in the series to be held without a point.

The Canucks are the favorites to come out on top in this playoff matchup, but don't count out the savvy Preds who have a good mix of young blood and veteran leadership in their lineup.
