We have another game on the NHL schedule that features two teams in the Eastern Conference playoff race tonight. Our last simulation saw Washington finishing on top against Detroit 5-3. Though the score wasn't accurate, the outcome was. The Capitals won 2-1 off the backs of a 42-save performance by Charlie Lindgren.
Detroit and Pittsburgh sit only one point back of Washington for the final wildcard spot in the East. The Penguins are also three points back of the Islanders for third in the Metropolitan Division. Both teams desperately need this win.
The last simulation was highly entertaining for a CPU versus CPU game. However, this one was far from that and really was a dud of a game. Let's all hope this isn't a foreshadowing of what's to come tonight.
