Does the trade work in NHL 24?

The New York Rangers added to their center depth on Wednesday when they acquired Alex Wennberg from the Seattle Kraken for two draft picks. 

Primarily a playmaking center, Wennberg has 25 points in 60 games this season and will provide the Rangers with depth scoring and help on the second powerplay unit. 

The return was relatively close to some of the offers we received when we attempted to predict Wennberg's trade destination earlier this week. Given how close the simulation was, we wanted to see if this trade would go through in Franchise Mode.  

The trade in Franchise Mode was successful, the Kraken were ecstatic to receive a second and fourth round pick in return and did not have any issues retaining half Wennberg's salary.
