Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Gavin Brindley made his NHL debut last night after two successful NCAA seasons with the Michigan Wolverines.
The 34th overall pick in the 2023 NHL draft, Brindley improved on an impressive rookie season by posting 25 goals and 53 points in 40 games to lead the Wolverines. He also posted 10 points in seven games at the World Junior Championship.
Given the similarities in production to teammate Frank Nazar, we thought 78 overall with medium top six potential is a fair evaluation for Brindley.

Brindley is a beast on the forecheck and has great hands. His goal scoring prowess was evident throughout his two seasons at Michigan and at the WJC.
While he is only listed at 5'9 170, we felt his play style and strength warranted a solid rating for his unofficial NHL 24 character.
Brindley joins a solid core of young players on Columbus and has the potential to improve his overall quickly.
