

The remaining 10 teams played their third games of the season. ZSC Zurich Lions got their third straight win to join Färjestad Karlstad as the only two remaining perfect teams. Red Bull Salzburg, Skellefteå AIK and, surprisingly, the Sheffield Steelers all won their second.
Unia Oświęcim (POL) 2 – Red Bull Salzburg (AUT) 3 [OT]
An overtime goal by Nikolaus Kraus earned Salzburg the extra point and its second-straight win, while Oświęcim picked up its second point overall. Tied 2-2 late in the third period, Oświęcim’s top scorer Krystian Dziubiński got a penalty shot but was stopped.

Skellefteå AIK (SWE) 4 – Lahti Pelicans (FIN) 2
In a back-and-forth game, Skellefteå scored twice in the first period, Lahti tied it up with two goals early in the third, and then Skellefteå scored two more late to win by two. Defenseman Jonathan Pudas scored twice, including the game-winner with 5:02 to go.

Eisbären Berlin (GER) 3 – Dynamo Pardubice (CZE) 2 [OT]
Leonhard Pföderl scored twice in the shootout, including the winner in the sixth round to give Die Eisbären their second straight win and put the first blemish on Pardubice’s record. During regulation time, Berlin took the lead twice and Pardubice tied it twice, including Roman Červenka with 1:37 remaining to force overtime.

ZSC Lions Zurich (SUI) 3 – Straubing Tigers (GER) 2
The Tigers were leading 2-1 late in the third period; however, Vinzenz Rohrer tied it for the Lions with 4:51 to play and Mikko Lehtonen scored the winner with 1:26 to play. As a result, Zurich joins Färjestad as the only two teams remaining with perfect records after three games.

Sheffield Steelers (GBR) 5 – Sparta Prague (CZE) 1
Sparta outshot Sheffield 46-23 in the game, but the Steelers scored twice in the first four minutes. Leading 2-1 in the third, they got a 5-on-3 goal by Daniel Leavens and a pair of late empty-netters to secure their second win in three games. Matthew Greenfield made 45 saves.
