KHL teams Traktor Chelyabinsk and Dynamo Moscow were involved in a trade, the latter club announced on Saturday. Dynamo acquires 29-year-old Canadian winger Dylan Sikura in exchange for 24-year-old Russian defenseman Andrei Pribylsky and 23-year-old Russian forward Matvei Guskov.

Sikura is in the midst of his first KHL season, and had 15 points through 28 games with Traktor. He is signed through the end of the season.

Last season was Sikura’s first in Europe with Skellefteå AIK of the SHL. There, he recorded 26 points in 49 regular-season games and was a big performer for the team in the playoffs, netting nine points in 13 games as Skellefteå won the Swedish title for the first time in 10 years. Sikura also had eight points in nine Champions Hockey League games as Skellefteå reached the final of the European club championship, losing to Swiss club Genève-Servette.

A sixth-round draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in 2014, the Aurora, Ont. native eventually played 60 NHL games for the Hawks, Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche between 2017 and 2022, scoring three goals and adding 14 assists. Sikura was also in the Anaheim Ducks organization for part of the 2022-23 campaign but played only for the San Diego Gulls of the AHL.

Pribylsky was born in Moscow and has played his entire career in the Dynamo organization, recording 11 points in 135 career KHL games. He has played all of this season so far with Dynamo St. Petersburg of the second-tier VHL.

Guskov, who was born in Nizhnekamsk in Tatarstan, came up through the ranks of CSKA Moscow, played junior hockey for the OHL’s London Knights and was a fifth-round pick of the Minnesota Wild in 2019. He has 24 points in 147 KHL games with CSKA, Salavat Yulaev Ufa and Dynamo.

Dynamo ranks fifth in the KHL’s 11-team Western Conference with 49 points in 40 games. Traktor is second in the 12-team Eastern Conference with 52 points in 40 games.
