
Sheldon Keefe’s first game at the helm of the New Jersey Devils was in Prague, Czechia, against the Buffalo Sabres and resulted in a 4-1 win.
“It didn’t really come together for us in the pre-season but the signs were there, we had some really good practises ... and I think the guys were ready to play.” said the Devils’ new coach. “I think it showed early on.”
Keefe also spoke about the goaltending of Jacob Markström, who was also making his Devils debut, and the contributions he got from his various lines.
