Wild's Joel Eriksson Ek Exits Seattle Game With Injury cover image

Eriksson Ek's departure in Seattle casts a shadow over the Wild's overtime victory. What does this injury mean for Minnesota's momentum?

The Minnesota Wild (26-11-8) played the Seattle Kraken (20-14-8) for one last road game before returning home from a long road trip.

Minnesota welcomed back Daemon Hunt to the lineup after he missed the last ten games with a lower-body injury.

In addition to Hunt being back, the Wild sent David Jiricek down to the AHL.

But in the Wild's overtime win over the Kraken, center Joel Eriksson Ek left with an injury. It happened around the eight minute mark in the second period when Eriksson Ek got tangled up near the bench.

It didn't look like anything too major or severe but it was able to keep the forward out the rest of the game.
