Looking at Week 5 in College Hockey, including a big matchup between Boston College and St. Cloud State.

    On to Week 5.

The No. 2-ranked Boston College Eagles will look to reverse recent fortunes against St. Cloud, having dropped their last four meetings.

Boston College and St. Cloud have only played each other five times, dating back to 2004.

BC is coming off a victory over Western Michigan last weekend in which the Eagles trailed by a pair of goals.

Sophomore forward Ryan Leonard (WSH), named Hockey East Co-Player of the Week, tallied two goals in that one, including the game-winner.

Freshman forward Austin Burnevik (ANA) leads all St. Cloud skaters with seven points (3-4-7) in seven games played.

No. 11 Michigan vs. No. 5 Boston University

This series has delivered some instant classics, with Michigan holding a 9-8 advantage all-time going back to 1996.

It will be the first meeting between the two teams since the 2022–23 season.

Michigan topped the NTDP U18 team (exhibition) last Friday.

Five different skaters found the back of the net, including freshman forward Michael Hage (MTL), who potted the overtime winner.

Meanwhile, BU freshman forward Cole Eiserman (NYI) has points in four of his first five games, including a multi-goal performance against UConn two weeks ago.

No. 6 North Dakota vs. No. 9 Cornell

In just six previous meetings between these two teams, Cornell leads the all-time series with a 4-2 head-to-head record.

North Dakota split their two-game series with Boston University at The Ralph last weekend. UND throttled the Terriers on Friday night before dropping a one-goal contest on Saturday.

Senior forward Cameron Berg (NYI) is off to a fast start this season, recording three multi-point efforts in his first five games.

Cornell opened its season with a 6-2 exhibition win over the University of Toronto.

Sophomore forward Ryan Walsh (BOS) scored a pair of goals on two shots in that one.

No. 18 Penn State vs. No. 4 Minnesota

In a highly anticipated Big Ten matchup, Penn State travels to Minneapolis for a two-game set.

Minnesota holds a slight edge in this series, claiming a 16-14-1 record all-time. The Gophers are riding a four-game win streak.

The Nittany Lions swept St. Lawrence on home ice last week.

Aiden Fink (NSH) scored his second goal of the year in Saturday's game. The sophomore forward is up to nine points already this season, pacing all Penn State skaters.

Meanwhile, Minnesota is coming off a two-game sweep over St. Thomas.

Junior forward Brody Lamb, named Big Ten Hockey's Second Star of the Week, recorded four goals, including a hat trick, between the two contests.

No. 16 Minnesota State vs. Bemidji State

Despite holding a slight 67-63-16 advantage in this series, Minnesota State has dropped the last six of eight contests against Bemidji State, including three straight coming into Friday's opener.

However, this year's installment of the Mavericks appears poised to make a ton of noise in the CCHA.

Luke Strand's program owns a 5-3-0 record to begin the season and is coming off a two-game sweep over Omaha.

Adam Eisele potted the decisive goal in Saturday's 1-0 win. The junior forward already has seven points (3-4-7) this year.

The Beavers split their two-game set on the road against Ferris State last weekend.

Senior forward Jere Vaisanen tallied three goals, including two on Friday night, and is up to five points (4-1-5).
