St. Thomas is looking to bounce back after a tough CCHA finals loss last season to Minnesota State. With some new faces on the team, will they be enough to get them over the hump and win the CCHA?
Losing in the CCHA finals last season leaves St. Thomas with the feeling that they’re right on the cusp of something great. This was also just four years after only winning three games the entire season. This incoming freshman class brings a handful of new names to the program who might be a part of a future CCHA championship roster.

Vincent Collard –Right Winger, Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (QMJHL)
Collard played five seasons in the QMJHL with three different teams. He played a minimum of 60 games every season, and in his final two years he played a combined 36 playoff games.
In his only season with the Armada, Collard was the team’s captain, during which he put up 16 goals and 41 points.
Kaeden Hawkins –Left Winger, London Knights (OHL)
Hawkins only played one season in the OHL after making the switch from the USHL with the Waterloo Blackhawks. He’s seen a lot of change over the last few years. He was dominating at Shattuck St. Mary’s before going to Waterloo, but the jump to the OHL wasn’t as easy as the USHL jump.
In 61 games, Hawkins played a limited role with the Knights, where he had nine goals and 23 points.
Ty Henry –Defenseman, Erie Otters (OHL)
Henry was drafted in the sixth round of the 2024 NHL draft by the Chicago Blackhawks. In the following season, he more than doubled his previous point total.
Henry didn’t have that chance this year as he was injured for the entire season after suffering an injury at the Blackhawks’ development camp.
Luken Huff –Defenseman, Cedar Rapids RoughRiders (USHL)
Potulny is the son of former University of Minnesota captain Grant Potulny, and formerly the head coach of the Hartford Wolf Pack in the AHL.
Although he’s 20 years old, the Kraken must have loved his progression from ten points in 2024-25 to 39 points in 2025-26. Huff was also an assistant captain this past year in Cedar Rapids.
Jackson Potulny –Center, El Paso Rhinos (NAHL)
Potulny is the son of former University of Minnesota captain Grant Potulny, who’s now the head coach of the Hartford Wolf Pack in the AHL.
He started the year in Lone Star before he was sent to El Paso, where in 41 games he had 19 goals and 34 points.
Ajay White –Goalie, Fargo Force (USHL)
Last but not least, we head to the crease with Ajay White, who was elite in last season’s playoffs with the Force.
He was also very good in the regular season, putting up a 2.48 goals-against-average and a .905 save-percentage. In the playoffs, White had a .933 SP and a 2.24 GAA in nine games.
