Top NAHL defenseman Nathan Williams brings his scoring touch and tenacious play to Maryville.

Maryville has added another piece to its inaugural Division I roster, blueliner Nathan Williams. Williams plays for the North American Hockey League's Austin Bruins, who clinched the Central Division this past weekend.

Williams is the second commitment for Maryville this week after Anthony Cardilli made it official on April 2.

A native of Racine, WI, Williams leads league's defensemen ll North American Hockey League defensemen with 59 points, 49 assists, 34 power play assists and a +37 plus/minus with through 57 outings. Williams' 10 goals in the same span helped him average over a point per game this year. He also has a mean streak, earning 57 penalty minutes in 57 games.

His Bruins teammate and current Omaha Lancer Ryder Reynolds said of his former captain. "Nate is a resilient hardworking kid who is a born leader. He has been a huge part of the Austin bruins program.”

The Bruins captain will man the blue line for the Saints bringing together his passing prowess and physical presence this fall after he ages out from junior hockey
