The New York Rangers have signed former UConn goaltender Callum Tung to a three-year entry-level deal, it was announced earlier this week.

Tung, a product of Port Moody, B.C., just finished his freshman season with the Huskies where he collected a record of 10-4-1 to go along with a 2.01 GAA and a .933 SP in 15 appearances.

Prior to making his way to the NCAA, Tung played his junior hockey in the PIJHL, VIJHL and the BCHL with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. In his only full season in the BCHL last year, Tung put together a record of 22-14-1, a 2.80 GAA and a .917 SP across 38 regular season appearances.

As Tung joins the Hartford Wolf Pack, his impressive trajectory over the past few years takes him to the pro game. With three years on his deal, Tung will have a lot of runway to prove himself and if can continue his play, he could get NHL consideration as soon as next season.
