Vermont forward Timofei Spitserov has signed an amateur try-out with the ECHL's Norfolk Admirals, it was announced Saturday.
Spitserov, who recently finished his senior season with the Catamounts, appeared in 33 games with the team this year, putting up 12 goals and six assists for 18 points.
A 2020 seventh round pick of the San Jose Sharks, Spitserov has played in 114 career NCAA games across four seasons, collecting 25 goals and 16 assists for 41 points.
Prior to making the jump to the NCAA, Spitserov played four years at Culver Academy as well as two games with the USHL's Muskegon Lumberjacks.
With Spitserov signing an ATO with the Admirals, he will get the chance to prove he belongs at the ECHL level. Spitserov regularly showed his smarts and skills when he was on the ice this season and should have no problem coming in and making a difference for the Admirals off the hop.
