The Denver Pioneers are once again well-represented in the NCHC Players of the Week honors for Week 5.
Aidan Thompson was named Forward of the Week, marking the first of his career and second conference weekly honor.
The junior forward tallied a pair of goals and four points in Denver's weekend sweep at Yale.
Thompson collected the primary assist on Carter King's third-period goal on Friday.
He found the back of the net twice on Saturday, including a power-play goal in the second period and registered a career-high 11 shots on goal.
Thompson, who had just two goals in the first half of last season, already has six to go along with 15 points, the second-most on the Pioneers' roster.
Defenseman of the Week: Eric Pohlkamp (Denver)
This is Pohlkamp's second weekly honor in the last three weeks.
The San Jose Shark draft pick tallied four points on seven shots, including a career-high three-point outing in Friday's 6-0 win over Yale.
Pohlkamp tallied an even-strength goal in the second period and added a power-play marker late in the third to cap Denver's shutout win. He also assisted Boston Buckberger's first goal of the season.
The sophomore defenseman picked up a secondary assist on James Reeder's goal on Saturday and finished with a career-best three blocked shots.
Check out this feature on Pohlkamp's shot, which is one of the most exciting to watch.
Goaltender of the Week: Kaidan Mbereko (Colorado College)
This marks back-to-back weeks in which Mbereko has been recognized for his efforts.
The junior netminder guided the No. 8-ranked Tigers to a weekend sweep over Air Force.
Mbereko turned aside a combined 52-of-55 and improved to a perfect 6-0-0 record on the season.
The Aspen native turned aside 25-of-27 in Friday's 3-2 win and turned around to make 27 saves the following night.
Mbereko owns a 1.33 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage this season.
Rookie of the Week: Sacha Boisvert (North Dakota)
Boisvert picks up his first NCHC weekly honors and North Dakota's first of the season.
The freshman forward finished the weekend with three points, including his third multi-point game on Saturday.
Boisvert registered three shots in each contest and found the back of the net for the second time this season in Saturday's 5-3 loss to Cornell.
The Chicago Blackhawks draft pick also picked up helpers on both of Dylan James' goals this past weekend.
