    Shane Wright scored his first goal of the season and second of his career as the Seattle Kraken beat the San Jose Sharks 4-2.

    Shane Wright scored his first goal of the season and second of his career as the Seattle Kraken beat the San Jose Sharks 4-2 on Monday night.

    The Kraken also got goals from Matty Beniers, Oliver Bjorkstrand, and Jared McCann. Bjorkstrand is up to 20 goals this season. Phillip Grubauer got the start and won his 12th game of the season, making 24 saves.

    The Sharks got goals from Fabian Zetterlund, his 21st of the season, and Klim Kostin. Kostin is up to four goals and eight points in 12 games since being acquired by San Jose. Mackenzie Blackwood made 28 saves.

    The Sharks capitalized on the powerplay yet again. Coming into tonight, their powerplay percentage was 20.4%, which was 19th in the league.

    Wright was recalled before the game for the Kraken. He was drafted fourth overall in the 2022 NHL Draft, and the Kraken have high expectations for their budding 20-year-old star. 

    William Eklund had an assist, giving him nine points (3 goals, 6 assists) in the last eight home games. 

    Matty Beniers scores his 13th goal of the season just 29 seconds into the first period. 

    Oliver Bjorkstrand beats Blackwood to the short side with a snipe, his 20th goal of the season.

    Fabian Zetterlund scored his 21st goal of the season with a powerplay goal snipe. He beat Grubauer high over the blocker. 

    Shane Wright scores his first goal of the season and second of his career to give the Kraken a 3-1 lead. 

    Klim Kostin scored his seventh goal of the season with a deflection off a Marc-Edouard Vlasic shot. 

    Jared McCann added an empty net goal.
