The New York Rangers are offering a ticket plan for fans at Madison Square Garden this season. A marketing technique to convince Rangers supporters to purchase tickets shows how far the historic Original Six franchise has fallen.
On the plus side, hockey fans in New York will have a chance to watch 14 games this season from prime seats for an incredibly reasonable price. On the minus side, one of the teams playing in every one of those games will be the New York Rangers.
Pegged by many observers to finish dead last in the Metropolitan Division, the Rangers have come up with a 14-game ticket plan that will give fans access to games for $75 each. Two per month for $150 a month over the course of the season.
In the lower bowl. In Madison Square Garden. For an Original Six team.
More than anything, it shows how much the Rangers have fallen since getting to the Eastern Conference final in 2023-24 and how much confidence in this team has eroded among the fan base.
