On this week's episode of The Hockey News On The 'A' Podcast, Jacob Stoller and Patrick Williams discuss some key NHL prospects assigned to the AHL and Carolina's affiliate situation:

    - Arizona Coyotes winger Dylan Guenther starts off with the Tucson Roadrunners in his first year of AHL eligibility. The former No. 9 overall pick had 15 points in 33 NHL games last year before winning gold at the world juniors and returning to the WHL.

    - Los Angeles Kings defenseman Brandt Clarke's been loaned to the Ontario Reign. He played a five-game conditioning stint there last season before eventually returning to the OHL.

    - Rangers forward Brennan Othmann is headed to the Hartford Wolfpack, while the Ottawa Senators sent former 10th overall pick Tyler Boucher to the Belleville Senators.

    - Shane Wright begins his season in the AHL as an exception to the usual CHL/NHL Transfer Agreement.

    - The Carolina Hurricanes still don't have an AHL affiliate for the season after the Chicago Wolves decided to go independent from an NHL affiliate. Where did their prospects go?

    - And more, including longtime AHLers who made NHL rosters.
