The Ducks trimmed down their list of unsigned restricted free agents on Tuesday by inking goaltender Calle Clang and forward Jan Myšák to one-year, two-way deals.
Clang was acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2022 in the Rickard Rakell trade. After a second consecutive season with Rögle in the SHL, Clang made the transition to the AHL at the end of the 2022-23 season. He has been with the Gulls for the past two seasons, receiving a few call-ups to the NHL but not yet making his NHL debut.
It's been a difficult adjustment to North American hockey for Clang thus far. The emergence of UDFA signing Tomáš Suchánek ousted him from the starting job in 2023-24 and the additions of Oscar Dansk and, eventually, Ville Husso in 2024-25 prevented him from once again taking hold of the crease. An MCL injury late in the season did him no favors, though he returned before the end of the season.
The upcoming season will be integral for Clang, with Suchánek, who missed the 2024-25 season with a torn ACL, back from injury and Husso returning on a two-year deal. The crowded crease will create plenty of competition.

Myšák is coming off a stellar season where he finished fourth in points among all Gulls players. Acquired from the Montréal Canadiens in exchange for Jacob Perreault in a 1-for-1 swap in Mar. 2024, Myšák struggled to adjust to life in his new environment, often utilized as the fourth line center or serving as an outright healthy scratch.
But his first full season with the Gulls in 2024-25 proved to be much better, as he settled into a second line center role behind veteran Ryan Carpenter and formed a dynamic duo with Sasha Pastujov. He also played a role on both special teams units.
Myšák will likely get the opportunity to reprise the same role he had this past season in 2025-26 and could potentially push for a spot with the Ducks by the end of the season if he continues his strong play from last season.
With Clang and Myšák signed, the Ducks now have five RFAs left to sign in Mason McTavish, Lukáš Dostál, Sam Colangelo, Drew Helleson and Tim Washe. Dostál and Helleson filed for arbitration, with hearing dates yet to be scheduled.
