Where will he land?

After suffering a season ending injury back in February, unrestricted free agent goalie Anthony Stolarz is ready to show teams just what he can do. He had arthroscopic knee surgery after suffering the injury in a 3-2 overtime win over the Chicago Blackhawks and his recovery time was expected to be six to eight weeks.

Stolarz was used mainly as the backup to John Gibson last season with the Anaheim Ducks and he still has some juice left in the tank. He was with the Ducks for four seasons, playing in 56 games for the team.

He posted a record of 5-6 over 19 games played (12 started), with a 3.73 goals against per average and a .899 save percentage. Stolarz played behind an awful Ducks defense so some of his numbers may be due to that and he is hopeful that teams understand this.

It remains to be seen if he will be back in Anaheim with the Ducks but with the team going for a rebuild and having some younger prospects available, it isn't looking likely.

The 29-year-old should land somewhere as he has proven his worth in the NHL, even if only as a backup on a team. He looks to be healthy and is ready to the next chapter in his life.
