As the Anaheim Ducks get ready for the real games to begin in a couple of days, they are reminded that this season will likely be one simply for improvement. After holding the worst record in the NHL last season, Anaheim has nowhere to go but up, so any sort of improvement will be welcomed. They have a good collection of young players to work with this year, and it should yield some fun results. Anaheim may not win a ton of games, but the hope is that they are more competitive than they were a year ago. They saw themselves get blown off the ice, almost on a nightly basis, and they surely don’t want a repeat of that again. This offseason saw them bring in some new veteran faces to help get the team up to speed, and that is exactly what they will try to do.

In other Ducks-related news, Anaheim ended their preseason on a sour note, losing 7-1 to the Arizona Coyotes. The team released multiple players to trim their roster down before the year started, and they placed veteran Alex Killorn on the injured reserve to open the season.
