These two Boston Bruins have broken out in a big way during the 2025-26 season.
The Boston Bruins are in a good spot at this point of the season, as they have a 43-24-8 record and have a six-point lead over the Columbus Blue Jackets for the top wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.
There are many reasons why the Bruins have turned things around in such a major way. Not only have their top stars stepped up this campaign, but they have also had some young players break out and become key players in the process.
Due to this, let's look at two Bruins who have had breakout year in 2025-26.
Fraser Minten
The Bruins had high hopes for Fraser Minten's future in Boston when they acquired him as part of the trade that sent Brandon Carlo to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Now, the 21-year-old center has already cemented himself as an incredibly important part of their roster this season.
In 75 games this season, Minten has set new career highs with 16 goals, 17 assists, 33 points, and a plus-21 rating. He has also been playing as Boston's first-line center and is seeing time on both their penalty kill and power play because of his strong all-around play.
Marat Khusnutdinov
Khusnutdinov has also broken out for the Bruins this season. The 23-year-old forward has become a nice part of the Bruins' roster, as he has hit new career bests with 15 goals, 17 assists, and 32 points in 70 games.
Like Minten, Khusnutdinov has been getting time in the Bruins' top six, and it makes sense when noting how much he has improved this season.
