These two Bruins prospects have been ranked among the best in the entire league.
Boston Bruins top prospects James Hagens and Dean Letourneau were both included on Scott Wheeler's latest top 100 drafted NHL prospect rankings for The Athletic.
Hagens was given the No. 5 spot by Wheeler, and it is very easy to understand when noting that he has the potential to become a star for the Bruins in the future. The 19-year-old forward showed great promise during his first two NHL games for the Bruins this season, as he recorded an assist and had a plus-1 rating. Due to this, there is a real chance that the 2025 first-round pick will be in Boston's lineup during the playoffs.
Hagens was simply fantastic for Boston College this season, too, as he had 23 goals, 24 assists, 47 points, and a plus-10 rating. With numbers like these, there is no question that the skilled forward has a lot of offensive talent, and he should be a major part of the Bruins' roster as he continues to gain more experience.
Letourneau was given the No. 67 spot by Wheeler in his rankings. While the 2024 first-round pick had a tough first season with Boston College in 2024-25 (zero goals and three assists in 36 games), he took a major step in the right direction with his development this season. In 36 games with BC during his sophomore year, he had 22 goals and 39 points.
Letourneau has all the tools to become an impactful power forward for the Bruins later down the road. It is hard not to be excited about the 6-foot-7 forward's future with the Black and Gold.
