For several years, the Boston Bruins' prospect pool was considered among the worst in the NHL. However, the Bruins have done a good job strengthening it, and now two of their top prospects have received some big-time praise.
James Hagens and Dean Letourneau both made Craig Button's latest top 50 NHL-affiliated prospects list for TSN.
Hagens was given the No. 11 spot on Button's list, and it makes sense when looking at the season the 2025 seventh-overall pick has had for Boston College. In 33 games for BC this campaign, the skilled forward has recorded 23 goals, 22 assists, 45 points, and a plus-11 rating.
As for Letourneau, the 6-foot-7 forward was given the No. 13 spot. After a tough freshman year for BC, Letourneau has broken out in a major way for the school in 2025-26. In 35 games this season with BC, the 2024 first-round pick has posted 20 goals and 37 points.
With the way Hagens and Letourneau have played this season for BC, it is hard not to feel excited about their futures with the Black and Gold. Hagens could very well make the jump to the NHL level once BC's season is done, and Letourneau could be a season away from doing the same.
