These two key Bruins were not at practice.
The Boston Bruins will be playing a win-or-go-home Game 5 against the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday. The Bruins will need to bounce back from their atrocious 6-1 loss to the Sabres if they hope to keep their playoff run alive.
The Bruins held practice on Monday ahead of Game 5, and two of their notable players were missing from it: Viktor Arvidsson and Nikita Zadorov.
Arvidsson missing practice comes after he exited the Bruins' Game 4 contest against Buffalo with an upper-body injury. The 33-year-old winger was limited to only four shifts and 3:13 of ice time because of it, where he had zero points and a minus-1 rating.
With Arvidsson being an important part of the Bruins' top six, they will be hoping that he is cleared to return to their lineup for Game 5. In four playoff games this spring, he has two goals.
As for Zadorov, he recently received a fine from NHL Player Safety for cross-checking Rasmus Dahlin. The big blueliner had 19:20 of ice time over 24 shifts in Game 4, where he received 17 penalty minutes and a game misconduct for his cross-check on Dahlin.
While speaking to reporters, including Boston.com's Conor Ryan, Sturm said he did not have any updates on Arvidsson and Zadorov and their availability for Game 5.
