Keep an eye on these Bruins bounce-back candidates.
The Boston Bruins are hoping to build off their solid 2025-26 season this upcoming campaign.
However, if they hope to do so, they will need some of their players to bounce back. Due to this, let's look at three bounce-back candidates from the Bruins for this upcoming season.
Elias Lindholm
Elias Lindholm is a player who the Bruins desperately need to bounce back. He has not lived up to his massive contract during his first two seasons with the Black and Gold, but a strong season would help lower the criticisms surrounding the deal. His most recent good season was in 2022-23, when he posted 22 goals and 64 points in 80 games. He has recorded under 50 points each season since then but will be looking to change that in 2026-27.
JJ Peterka
JJ Peterka will be looking to bounce back after being traded to the Bruins. The 24-year-old winger had a down year by his standards, posting 25 goals and 47 points in 82 games with the Utah Mammoth. This was after he recorded 27 goals and a career-high 68 points in 77 games with the Buffalo Sabres in 2024-25. The Bruins will be looking for the 2020 second-round pick to regain his 2024-25 form. If he does, he will be a major pickup for Boston's offense.
Hampus Lindholm
Hampus Lindholm is another bounce-back candidate to watch on the Bruins. The 6-foot-4 defenseman will be looking to regain his top form next season. In 67 games last season for Boston, he posted five goals and 26 points. Overall, he had his up-and-down moments for the Bruins last season, which makes sense when noting that he missed the majority of the 2024-25 campaign. If he can regain the elite form that he had during the 2022-23 season, it would be huge for Boston.
