It was another tough night for the Bruins.

After losing to the Buffalo Sabres in their last matchup, the Boston Bruins aimed to bounce back against the Winnipeg Jets. Unfortunately, it ended up being another long night for the Bruins, as they lost to the Jets by a 6-2 final score. With this, they now have a 25-22-6 record this season.

Let's discuss three takeaways from the game now.

Bruins Start Slow But Make Things Interesting (Well, Temporarily)

The start of this game was rough for the Bruins. The Original Six club allowed the Jets to score the first two goals of the game during the first period. However, Brad Marchand then made it a 2-1 game near the end of the first.

After neither team scored in the second period, Elias Lindholm scored just 11 seconds into the third to tie the game. The Bruins made it a game, but this did not last long.

    Bruins Have Abysmal Third Period

Following Lindholm's goal, the game was tied for just 24 seconds. Jets star Mark Scheifele scored 35 seconds into the third, starting Winnipeg's period of dominance. The Jets ended the game with four unanswered goals, turning this close contest into another ugly loss for the Bruins.

Nikolaj Ehlers scored just 42 seconds after Scheifele's goal. Following that, Parker Ford and Kyle Connor scored Winnipeg's last two goals on the night. Winnipeg also had only six shots in the third.

Bruins Have Rough Time On Penalty Kill

The Bruins' penalty kill had a tough time stopping the Jets in this one. Winnipeg scored two power-play goals in this one, including Scheifele's, which became the eventual game-winner.
