Here are three takeaways from the Bruins' 6-3 win against the Rangers.
After back-to-back brutal losses, the Boston Bruins responded in a big way against the New York Rangers on Feb. 1. They defeated the Blueshirts by a 6-3 final score and have now improved to a 26-22-6 record.
Here are three takeaways from the Bruins' victory against the Rangers.
David Pastrnak was named the NHL's First Star of the Month for January right before the contest. Now, he has started off February in a great fashion, as he recorded a hat trick and added an assist against the Rangers.

With this outstanding performance, Pastrnak extended his point streak to 10 games, where he has 10 goals and 23 points over that span. No. 88 is so back.
Pastrnak was not the only Bruins who had a big game against the Rangers. Pavel Zacha, Matthew Poitras, and Brad Marchand each had two points in the matchup.

If the Bruins hope to get into the playoffs, they will need their top forwards to step up like this more consistently. They did their job against the Rangers.
Bruins defenseman Michael Callahan, unfortunately, was forced to leave the game after taking a puck to the face. While the Bruins finished the game with only five defensemen, they still secured two points from the matchup.

This is tough news for Callahan, as he has looked pretty solid since being recalled to the NHL squad. Here's to hoping that he won't need to miss more time from here.
