The Bruins have trimmed their training camp roster.
The Boston Bruins' training camp roster has been significantly trimmed, as eight players have been assigned to the AHL.
The Bruins announced on Tuesday that they have assigned Wyatt Bongiovanni, Luke Cavallin, Loke Johansson, Max Lundgren, Navrin Mutter, Tobie Paquette-Bisson, Kalle Vaisanen, and Max Wanner to the Providence Bruins.
Seeing the Bruins send down several players to the AHL is not surprising. Their season opener against the New York Rangers is only eight days away, so it is understandable that they have made multiple cuts. Only more by the Original Six club will be on the way over the next few days.
The players who have been cut from Boston's training camp roster were all expected to start the season in the minors. Due to this, nobody from the Bruins' first training camp roster cuts are necessarily surprises.
