This Boston Bruins center is heating up at an incredibly important time of the season.
The Boston Bruins picked up an impressive 6-3 win over the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night. Bruins center Elias Lindholm was one of the main reasons for it, as he scored a goal and recorded the primary assist on Henri Jokiharju's game-winner in the third period.
This was just the latest strong game from Lindholm, as the 31-year-old forward has been heating up down the stretch. Over his last six games, the 2013 first-round pick has recorded five goals and seven points. With this, there is no question that he has been making an impact for the Bruins, and it is coming at a perfect time.
With the Bruins fighting to secure a playoff spot, they need all of their top players to step up for them. Lindholm has certainly been doing that, and he has helped play a role in Boston's ongoing four-game winning streak because of it.
If Lindholm can continue to stay hot during the final games of the season, it would be huge for the Bruins. They are in a good spot right now, but until they have that playoff berth secured, they can't get comfortable.
In 62 games this season with the Bruins, Lindholm has recorded 17 goals, 30 assists, and 47 points. This is after he had the exact same offensive totals as last season, but in 82 games. Thus, he has bounced back nicely in his second year as a Bruin.
