The Bruins absolutely need to make this move during the offseason.

Boston Bruins forward Pavel Zacha has had himself a spectacular 2025-26 season. In 76 games this campaign with the Black and Gold, the 29-year-old forward has set new career highs with 30 goals and 64 points. This includes him having 15 goals and 26 points over his last 20 games alone.

Zacha's fantastic season is a major reason why the Bruins have turned things back around this campaign. Now, the Bruins have a clear move to make with the 2015 first-round pick because of it.

Zacha will be entering the final year of his contract in 2026-27. With this, the Bruins must sign the 6-foot-4 forward to a contract extension once July rolls around, when he is eligible to sign one.

Zacha is an incredibly important part of the Bruins' top six, and they should look to lock him up to his next contract as soon as possible this summer. While he will undoubtedly be due for a raise from his current $4.75 million cap hit, there is no question that he deserves it, and the Bruins need to be the team that gives it to him.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Zacha this summer, but it would be huge if Boston got him signed to a contract extension before the start of next season.
