The Bruins should give this line a look this season.
The 2026-27 season is rapidly approaching for the Boston Bruins.
The Bruins' opening night is on Sep. 29 against the New York Rangers, so they will begin their regular-season action in a little over three weeks.
With the regular-season getting closer for the Bruins, it is fair to wonder what their lines will be this year. When looking at their current roster, one line that they should consider giving a chance is Casey Mittelstadt, James Hagens, and Morgan Geekie.
This line would be intriguing to see, as it would give Hagens the opportunity to play with two skilled experienced players in Mittelstadt and Geekie. Because of this, it could be worth testing this line out for Boston.
Even if Hagens played left wing, this line could be worth watching because Mittelstadt has played center for a good amount of his career. Furthermore, Hagens could work very well on a line with a goal-scorer like Geekie because of his passing ability.
Ultimately, with the Bruins having a lot of forwards to work with, they should not be afraid to test out multiple lines during the season. A trio of Hagens, Mittelstadt, and Geekie could be intriguing to watch as Boston's second line this campaign.
