The Bruins have placed this blueliner on waivers.

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Boston Bruins have placed defenseman Vladislav Kolyachonok on waivers.

The Bruins claimed Kolyachonok off waivers from the Dallas Stars in December. Now, he is right back on the waiver wire one month later with this latest news, and there's a chance that his time in Boston could come to an end because of it.

The Stars will now have the opportunity to claim Kolyachonok back if they wish to. However, if the Stars and no other team end up claiming the left-shot defenseman, the Bruins would then be able to assign him to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Providence Bruins.

Kolyachonok has played in two games for Boston since joining the Original Six club, where he has recorded zero points, three blocks, and a minus-1 rating. This is after the 6-foot-2 defenseman had one goal, three points, 10 blocks, and a plus-3 rating in 11 games with the Stars before being claimed by the Bruins.

In 87 career NHL games split between the Arizona Coyotes, Utah, Pittsburgh Penguins, Stars, and Bruins, Kolyachonok has posted five goals, 12 assists, and 17 points.
