The Bruins have placed one of their gritty depth forwards on waivers.
The Boston Bruins have placed forward Navrin Mutter on waivers.
Mutter, 25, was acquired by the Bruins last season from the Nashville Predators in exchange for forwards Dalton Bancroft and Massimo Rizzo.
Mutter is a player primarily known for his gritty style of play and toughness. Assuming he clears waivers, he should once again be an energy player for Providence this season.
Mutter appeared in 39 games last season split between the Milwaukee Admirals and Providence, where he posted one goal, one assist, and 95 penalty minutes. This was after he had one goal, five points, and 91 penalty minutes in 40 games for the Admirals in 2024-25.
Mutter has appeared in 161 career AHL games over five seasons split between the Stockton Heat, Milwaukee, and Providence, where he has posted five goals, 16 assists, 21 points, and 322 penalty minutes.
The 6-foot-3 forward has yet to play at the NHL level.
