The Bruins have added another goalie to their prospect pool.
The Boston Bruins have made a move, as they have signed goalie Max Lundgren to a one-year entry-level contract for the 2026-27 season. The Bruins also shared that Lundgren will have a cap hit of $952,500 at the NHL level.
Lundgren just finished his second season with Merrimack College in 2025-26, and it was undoubtedly a good year for the 6-foot-5 goaltender. In 39 games with Merrimack this season, he had a 21-16-2 record, a .920 save percentage, and a 2.54 goals-against average. This is after he had a .909 save percentage and a 2.90 goals-against average in 24 games with Merrimack in 2024-25.
With this move, the Bruins have added another interesting goalie prospect to their system. The 23-year-old goaltender certainly showed promise at the collegiate level, and it will now be interesting to see how he continues to develop his game after joining the Bruins organization from here.
