This Bruins star is putting together a career year for the Black and Gold.
After a bad 2024-25 season, the Boston Bruins have turned things around immensely this season. The Bruins currently have a 42-24-8 record and are in the first wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.
Charlie McAvoy has certainly been one of the reasons for the Bruins' bounce-back season, as he has been simply excellent for the Black and Gold.
McAvoy has been having a career year for the Bruins in 2025-26. In 62 games so far this campaign, the right-shot defenseman has set new career highs with 11 goals and 57 points. With numbers like these, McAvoy has been fantastic for the Bruins in 2025-26.
The Bruins will need McAvoy to continue to shine for them if they hope to get back into the playoffs this spring. Right now, things are looking promising on that front, and McAvoy has been one of the main reasons why the Bruins are in the position they are in right now.
It will be interesting to see how McAvoy finishes off the 2025-26 season from here, but there is no question that he has had an impressive campaign for the Black and Gold. He has not only been solid defensively but has taken his offense to a new level.
