This Bruins star is only continuing to dominate during this final stretch of the season.
The Boston Bruins are heating up at an incredibly important part of the season. With their fantastic comeback overtime victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday, the Bruins have now won each of their last three games. They are also now four points ahead of the Blue Jackets and six points ahead of the Ottawa Senators, Detroit Red Wings, and Philadelphia Flyers in the wild card race.
Pavel Zacha certainly deserves a ton of praise for the Bruins' big win against the Blue Jackets. The 28-year-old forward scored two goals and recorded an assist in the Bruins' comeback effort. This included him scoring the goal that forced overtime at the 19:49 mark of the third period.
This was just the latest fantastic performance from Zacha, as he has been simply dominating as of late. Following this big game, he extended his point streak to four games, where he has five goals and eight points over that span. He has also had at least two points in each of his last three contests.
Zacha also has nine goals and 14 points in his last nine games alone. With this, he now has 28 goals, 31 assists, and 59 points in 71 games this season. He also needs only one more point to set a new career high.
With all of this, there is no question that Zacha has been playing some spectacular hockey at the perfect time for the Bruins. It has been quite the year for the 2015 first-round pick.
