The Boston Bruins returned to practice on Friday. They are preparing for an incredibly important matchup against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday afternoon. The Senators trail the Bruins by just one point, so the Original Six club needs to secure a win.
The Bruins will, unfortunately, be without one of their key forwards against the Senators. Bruins head coach Joe Sacco shared that Cole Koepke won't play due to an upper-body injury.
Koepke was injured during the Bruins' latest contest against the Tampa Bay Lightning after taking a hard hit from former teammate Darren Raddysh. He was noticeably shaken up following the hit and needed assistance off the ice.

Koepke, 26, has emerged as an important part of the Bruins' bottom six this season, so they will miss him against the Senators. In 44 games this season with the Bruins, he has set new career highs with seven goals, five assists, 12 points, and 99 hits.
