Jeremy Swayman has been playing excellently this postseason, and the Bruins can't keep squandering it.
The Boston Bruins might be down 2-1 in their series against the Buffalo Sabres, but Jeremy Swayman cannot be blamed. This is because he has been excellent for the Bruins so far this postseason.
In three games for the Bruins so far during the playoffs, Swayman has a 2.38 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage. He has also had a .919 save percentage in all three of his first playoff starts. With this, Swayman is playing incredibly well, and the Bruins can't keep wasting it.
In the Bruins' Game 3 loss to the Sabres, Swayman stopped 27 out of 29 shots. With this, he did plenty to keep them in the game, but the Bruins' offense did not take advantage of it. This is a trend that cannot continue, or the Bruins could be in some serious trouble.
It will now be interesting to see how the Bruins respond in Game 4 from here. They need to get their offense going if they hope to tie the series up. If they continue to stay cold offensively and lose Game 4, it would put them in an incredibly difficult position heading back to Buffalo for Game 5.
