Bruins coach Joe Sacco had some kind words for Bruce Cassidy.

The Boston Bruins play their final game before the break on Feb. 8 against the Vegas Golden Knights at TD Garden. It is always a treat when Vegas comes to town, as Bruins fans get to see former head coach Bruce Cassidy.

Cassidy is undoubtedly doing a good job again running things for Vegas this season. At the time of this writing, the Golden Knights have a 32-17-6 record and the third-most points in the Western Conference.

While speaking to reporters following Feb. 7's practice, Bruins head coach Joe Sacco had some kind things to say about Cassidy and his time working with him.

"Real good coach," Sacco said about Cassidy. "Prepared. Sees the game well. I thought that he did a real good job getting a lot out of the group. A good all-around coach. Understands the game. He did a really good job, I thought, changing a little bit from the offensive side of the game when he came in... There's a lot of things that he does well as a coach, and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with him."

Cassidy undoubtedly had a strong tenure as the Bruins' bench boss, evidenced by his 245-108-46 record. He also notably led the Bruins to the Stanley Cup Final in 2019, where they fell to the St. Louis Blues in Game 7. Cassidy won the Jack Adams Award in 2020 with Boston as well.

Sacco worked as one of Cassidy's assistants with the Bruins for multiple years. Based on his comments, he enjoyed his time with Cassidy. Let's see which coach leads their team to victory on Feb. 8.
